Lovely weather continues for St Davids

We've had a week of largely sunny weather with light winds and swells - perfect for getting out on the water. We're making the most of the weather and enjoying working off the beach at Whitesands.
The stable weather has also enabled us to go offshore dolphin spotting. We've had some terrific runs out to Grassholm to check out the gannets and seals but for most people the highlight is the opportunity to see dolphins. We've been fortunate and had some lovely sightings.
Given the size of the ocean we are surprised to see dolphins as often as we do (ie more often than not). We are keen to point out to passengers when booking that cetaceans cannot be guaranteed (which of course they can't) but when we have dolphins running alongside us or bow riding (or indeed stern riding alongside the jet stream) people understandably wonder why we are so cautious. We work hard to maximise opportunities to see cetaceans by organising trips around the best weather window but the rest is up to the dolphins. We know how much most people want to see dolphins so we all breathe a huge sigh of relief when they decide to turn up!
