Departure Points
We
operate from Whitesands beach (SA62 6PS) or St Justinian (SA62 6PY),
St Davids, depending on season. Car park, shop and toilet facilities
are adjacent to Whitesands beach.
At Whitesands we will bring the boat into shallow water (approximately knee depth); you will need to wade out to board. At St Justinian (lifeboat station) the boat will be brought alongside a slipway. The crew will fit your lifejackets, give you a safety briefing and answer any questions you may have.
Please ensure that you arrive in plenty of time. Parking can be difficult during the day in high season. The Celtic Coaster bus (no.403) runs to both Whitesands and St Justinian from St Davids from Easter to September and can accommodate 2 wheelchairs.
Passengers are asked to be at the departure point ready to sign in at least 15 minutes before their trip in low season and 30 minutes before in high season (summer school holidays). We regret that we cannot take responsibility for passengers arriving late. If passengers are late we will kit up passengers already there and if the late passengers arrive we will collect them. If late passengers have still not arrived then we regret that we cannot ask our other passengers to wait further.
What to bring

St Justinian lifeboat station
Please note: personal possessions are carried entirely at your own risk. Please ensure that you protect cameras, binoculars etc with waterproof bags or at the least a protective case or bag.
Always wear warm waterproof clothing.
We can provide additional fleeces and waterproof jackets for both adults and children.
Lifejackets are provided for everyone. We ask passengers to take due care of safety equipment. Unnecessary lifejacket inflations (due to lack of reasonable care on the part of the passenger) will be charged at cost.
We have full third party liability insurance (sorry, excluding personal effects).
Inboard and tube seating is available.
The boat and skippers are fully licensed by the Marine Coastguard Agency and follow international codes of conduct to protect wildlife.
Most
trips do not have dogs on board but we welcome well behaved dogs free
of charge on wildlife trips. If you are nervous of dogs or allergic
to them please tell us when booking.
The Weather
For a daily St Davids weather forecast please see our St Davids Guide.
We plan trips carefully according to weather forecasts. If there's a risk of light showers, we'll run and make the best of it. If the weather is so awful that you're unlikely to be able to enjoy the trip, we will reschedule or you will be refunded in full. We want you to enjoy it!
All trips are subject to sea and weather conditions. If there is an issue with weather or sea conditions we will make every effort to contact passengers so we ask that passengers look for voice and text messages. If you are unable to give us a contact telephone number please contact us the morning of your trip to confirm suitability.
We reserve the right to cancel trips due to adverse weather conditions and stringent safety standards. If we have to cancel your trip we will offer alternative trips or a full refund. Trips are refundable subject to 24 hours' notice (48 hours for larger groups) or at our discretion.
Skipper's decision is final.
Safety
The boat is fully equipped with navigational and safety equipment. We make every effort to keep you and your belongings safe but there is an element of risk involved in any activity at sea. Your safety is of utmost importance to us. We request that you listen carefully to passenger briefings and work with us to ensure your safety and enjoyment.
Please note for your safety and enjoyment: the sea and alcohol do not mix! If passengers appear to be intoxicated they will not be permitted to board and we will not be able to offer a refund.
If you think you may have any medical problem which may affect your enjoyment or safety on board, please discuss it with us in advance; we will do our best to accommodate your needs but it is your responsibility to disclose relevant medical details.
